Dungeons and dragons 5th edition has gone down the path of the
SRD much in the way that 3rd edition did.
On top of that as well they are offering a hosting site (
Dungeons Masters guild, that looks a lot like DriveThru and RPGNow, likely due to linking to those) to sell any content made with the SRD, but any money gained will be split 50/50 with wizards themselves.
